MISSION |
Creativity is the wellspring of all innovation. How else does each generation imagine what is yet to be imagined? In a lively demonstration of the value of art, WHEN I PAINT, THE SEA ROARS ignites the audience's creativity through laughter, tears and recognition. Through the eyes of the main character, Marta, we recognize that creating art helps define one's identity, and also bolsters the self in meeting the demands of life and love in the quest for fulfillment. Defining creative energy at any age develops a more visionary approach to life. For the young artist and student, creativity improves concentration in school, supports problem solving skills, and helps develop a positive social integration with adults and peers. Art teaches children how to stand victorious in the presence of themselves and society. Young artists need encouragement to embrace the creativity that is within them and to develop the skills to never let it die. Parents and mentors who engage creatively with children and young people help them gain pride as they develop into artists or perhaps into something else that will enrich their lives and the lives of others. |
